The internet site of "TourBench" is recommended for obtaining a free and user-friendly system for checking operating environmental data. These tools are available in nine languages. As a result you receive a benchmark comparison with environmental data of similar companies.
The site not only provides a lot of information about ecolabels and sustainable tourism but also includes a calculator which can be used for calculating the amortisation time of various options for saving resources (for instance energy saving lamps, insulation, used/waste water and so on). This system is sponsored by the Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt (German Federal Foundation for the Environment).
